A Night of Music, Solidarity, and Support A Night to Remember: Shining Stars of Hope 2024 Illuminates Lebanon’s Artistic Legacy

Beirut, 27 December 2024 – Yesterday, on December 26, the TAKREEM Foundation concluded a fundraising concert at the Salle des Ambassadeurs, Casino du Liban, as part of Shining Stars of Hope, an ongoing initiative launched in 2023. Under the direction of conductor Yasmina Sabah, a 21-piece orchestra accompanied 20 distinguished singers and performers, joined by 23 dancers from the Zirka Dance Theatre, in an unforgettable evening of artistry and solidarity. This program continues to provide essential support to 105 Lebanese actors and actresses facing financial hardships due to Lebanon’s ongoing crises.

The concert marked another milestone for Shining Stars of Hope, which began with a similar event last year. It has since evolved into a dedicated arm of the TAKREEM Foundation, offering sustained assistance to Lebanon’s artistic community through various initiatives. As announced by TAKREEM’s founder, Ricardo Karam, the program will now expand through an online campaign in partnership with Alexandria Trust and META, aiming to raise funds throughout the year.

The concert featured a stellar lineup of award-winning artists and performers, including Bernadette Houdeib, Bruno Tabbal, Dia Audi, Jana Salameh, Joe Kodeih, Kristian Abbouani, Manel Mallat, Marc Reaidy Baz, Matteo El Khodr, Maxim Chami, Narimane Abou Rahal, Rand, Souhair Nasredine, Talal Jurdi, Tony Abou Jaoude, Wissam Saliba, and Zeff. Their captivating performances blended spoken word, music, and movement, creating a vibrant tribute to Lebanon’s cultural legacy.

“This initiative underscores the importance of solidarity with those who have inspired us through their art”, said one of the performers. The 105 artists benefiting from this initiative were carefully identified in collaboration with the Lebanese Syndicate of Professional Artists and the Lebanese Syndicate of Actors. Funds and contributions gathered through the concert and the online campaign will be distributed with discretion to address their most urgent needs.

A heartfelt tribute was paid to the Civil Defense heroes who bravely saved lives and protected villages during the war on Lebanon, embodying courage and sacrifice in the face of adversity.
